Dithering in Nuendo Help Please

If I track at 24 bit at 48k, is my sound quality on the final product going to be noticably better? If so, how do I get it to 16bit on the final mix. I have the Wavesuv22 (?) which I think is used to dither from 24 to 16, but I've never used it. Is it hard to get it dithered without getting artifacts such as pops and clicks that I've heard about?

what exactly does ram do in a daw like nuendo 2.0

i wonder if anyone can tell me what ram does in nuendo 2.0? the cpu and hard drive meters are self explanitory.

but i'm wondering if i bumped up my ram from 512 of rd to 1 gig, what this would do for me as far as performance?

would i get better track counts? smoother automation/editing?

ASUS P4B533V - Nuendo - ACPI?

When I built and installed my system about a year ago all the how-tos were saying to use standard pc.

However, I am now experiencing stutter audio and clicking when running Nuendo.

I have been told by some to switch to ACPI that it is a better bet.

I habe been told by others that my board is older and to not screw with ACPI.
