Well I'm sort of in the same boat as you are. I've been looking at the Mackie control as well as the Radikal controller. I know steinberg makes it's own controller but I'm not too familiar with how well it's put together. The Mackie & Radikal products have optional 8 channel expanders. There's some new products from Tascam and Roland to name a few. Also one of the forums has a nice picture of Opus' setup centered around the Radikal controller. Well that's all for now. I'm sure someone else could offer more detailed info to help you out. Peace

Yup, Radikal is indeed what I use! I love it!

Fully implemented in Nuendo!

Radikal I believe is not going to produce the expansion packs for them as there is not enough demand for their product to begin with.

Then again I've been seeing quite a few people getting these so they must be seeing some sales at this point! The extra 8 faders would be nice but IMHO it's not necessary unless you want to control over 8 faders at a time.

I'm happy with the bank selection. The faders are fast and very nice indeed. The switching between level and panning on the faders is very nice as well!

It's also touch sensitive so that if you are in overwrite automation mode the program senses it and starts writing as soon as you touch the fader!

Also it controls parameters for just about all VST and plug ins, allows you to switch applications on different machines instantaneously and many more features!

I give it a big :D

Yup, that's one of the main reasons I got mine!

Just make sure you get the 2.2 version and not the 2.0 version.

The faders are completely different on the older version and aren't as good. You can send it the NJ office and have it revamped for free though.

Make sure you update the firmware on it as well.

Opus :D
