Recording an Opera demo track

Hi everyone. I'm trying to help out my wife, she's an opera singer. I simply HATE her demo recordings to send to apply for an audition. The Piano is ALWAYS super loud, and she sounds far away. This is a woman who can over power a full orchestra no problem. I've never been at her recordings, but supposedly the little mic has been between her and the piano. That is what it sounds like to me.

What would be your method of incoperating an ssl e series w/ daw?

hey all. there's a good possibility the studio i work at is going to be getting an ssl e-series, a 2" tape machine, and a 1/4" mastering deck. I've been mulling over some different ways of incorporating these into our daw system (digital performer/apogee/motu).

New opera at Sydney Opera House with 3D sound

Hello everyone! Great news! IOSONO 3D sound teamed up with Sydney Opera House to present a new version of the opera "Die tote Stadt" by Korngold.
Next to our focus on cinema sound we thought it might be interesting how it sounds when an orchestra sound can be heard in state-of-the-art 3D sound technology.

PLEASE NOTE: I still can't access this site from Opera web browser!

Tried to post this in the Open Mic Guest forum so, mods, please delete the duplicate if so needed.

I know this probably isn't the right forum for this, BUT...

When I try to load this site I get a strange IP address:

http://41.177.*.***

I also get the old, "Could not connect to remote server" error message.

Is there no way Mr. Webmaster can fix this so those of us who use Opera don't have to jump between browsers?

FWIW, the page loads fine in IE and Firefox.

Cheers :)
