Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and am looking for some opinions on studio subs. I currently own a pair of KRK V6s and am very pleased with them. I recently decided that a sub would help me with monitoring. I am big into reggae, and the bass is a crucial part of the mix. I have a budget of around 300 to 500 dollars and am looking for a good powered sub.

Looking for opinions from folks here re their experiences with good fig-8 condensers, in particular Sennheiser MKH30 and Schoeps MK8.

Hi guys. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I am about to invest some buckaroos in some recording gear. I want something relatively portable (I need to go record drums now and then) and most importantly of all I want great sound quality. The guys at the store suggest I get a Macbook Pro (I too think this is a great idea) with a Digi 002 with a few extra gizmos.

which of these mics do you think is the most convenient for vocals

I just finished recording a few songs by a Killswitch engage cover band (killswitch? dont ask why.) i was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback this track. the only problem i have with it myself is the guitar amp's sound, such a fake digital sound(oh well it was all i had.)

Since I've just finished this new song for this band I'm trying to put together I got curious and decided to throw it up here and see what you guys think. :) Now, bear in mind I'm using hi-fi speakers to monitor and mix on (Sony home theater 1600w "near-fields" :lol:).

Looking to upgrade over the Digi 002R pre's. Budget $1,500. I primarily record electric guitar, bass, vocals. My only condenser mic is an AT3035 which is decent but nothing fancy. The unit i decide to get must have a good instrument pre in it.
After research these are the pres i found suitable. If anyone has any experience with these, please let me know what you think:

Well our church burnt down in August and we are building a new church. With that comes a new pa. so the board that was recommended to us was the soundcraft Lx7ii. it look like an ok board but i don't know the church will be doing contemporary praise and worship and we are going to be running the Aviom personal monitor system so we don't necessarily need allot of subs. i think 4 would do fine.
