output splitter

I was using a friend's mixer to route my output signal to powered monitors as well as to a standard home stereo. My friend needed his mixer back. Is there any budget alternatives to listen route my signal to the monitors and to the stereo speakers? Somewhere around $50 USD?

Some kind of Y-cable?
Line-splitter?
Monitor management device?
Some kind of aux-box?

No Output from Logic?

This may be a bit specific for what this forum is for, so I'll apologize now if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I'm running into some output issues while trying to record my band. Here's the run-down:

I'm running a PreSonus FP10 to my MacBook with OS X 5.7.blahblah.blah, and when using GarageBand everything comes in and out fine, monitoring included.

Strange recording problem (output being recorded ?)

Hey there,

I'm having a problem. When I go to record vocals, (or anything for that matter) over a track, the bed track also records into the vocal track. It seems to be a software setting or something, because even when I unplug the speakers/headphones and any input, I'm still getting this problem. The output sounds are being taken as input.

Behringer XENYX 1222FX Mixer output wirings.

I'm using a Behringer Mixer Xenyx 1222FX. I have to connect the Main Outputs of the mixer to the unbalanced line-in of a Dolby stereo amplifier which uses 2 RCA connectors. In order to make the correct wirings (balanced XLR -> unbalanced RCA), I have to know if the output stage of the mixer uses:

Problem... no output from the mic

I've just set up a little 'home studio' on a small budget and purchased the PreSonus firebox and a sontronics stc-2 condenser mic..

Everything works fine except the mic, which works on phantom power. I originally thought the mic must've been a dud, so phoned up the retailer and have swapped it for a new one. However, I'm still having the same problem.
