Description

A preamplifier, also known as a preamp, is an electronic amplifier that converts a weak electrical signal into an output signal strong enough to be noise-tolerant and strong enough for further processing, or for sending to a power amplifier and a loudspeaker. Without this, the final signal would be noisy or distorted.

Recording With Edirol Fa66 preamp and Adobe Audition

I am a DJ and have used different programs to capture my mix CD's which isn't a very complicated task pretty much output to input type connection but I want to get into recording vocals. I have a Studio Projects B1 condenser mic, Edirol Fa 66 preamp and I am using Adove Audition. I have done some test recordings but seems the volume is really low.

A question about mic preamp buy...

I need a pre 2 channel and I do not decide between A Designs Audio Pacifica and Vintech model 273.
Also I have been watching Daking Mic Pre IV or spend a little more and buy the Vintech model 473 or API 3124+ or Focusrite RED1
I need suggestions from those who have tested
Currently, I have a with Focusrite ISA 428 with digital ouput option.
Thanks

Guitar Preamp Help

I've owned a Marshall DSL 2000 for a while now and I love the tone coming from the amp. However, I'd like to look into having more options. I've been looking at guitar preamps, specifically the Mesa TriAxis. My question is, could I run the TriAxis directly into my DSL 2000, Using the DSL as my "power amp"? I don't know if this is a stupid question.

mic preamps

OK so I was told by Roland that their mic preamps are fine. BS.

OK so I was told that mic preamps don't mean all that. BS.

OK so I was told expensive mic preamps aren't necssary. BS.

I went by my instincts and electronics knowledge and spent a lot on pres.

I have a UA SOLO 610 and an LA 610, Great River ME-1NV and a Summit 2BA-221.
