i stopped by guitar center today to ask them how to set up my tc helicon and this is what they've told me;

use a 1/4 cable wire and connect that from the line input of the tc helicon into the line input of the preamp. connect a dual 1/4 cable wire into the balanced outputs (LEFT/Right) of the tc helicon and into the PreSonus firebox audio interface 3 / 4.

I'm really considering investing heavily into preamps.

Hey guys, just wondering whether anyone is using seventh circle preamps with a MacBook Pro? i am contemplating an upgrade in a few months... and wondering what i would need to connect the preamp chasis to the macbook pro to have it working? any advice would be great.

My new interface is on the way. Now I'm deciding whether it's worth the $30 in shipping to get my Alesis paperweight back.

My question has to do with whether gutting the i/o26 and using its preamps as standalone hardware is a.) possible / b.) practical.

I've looked around a bit and I've kind of settled on the Focusrite Octopre LE for $600. I would like some input on that particular piece as well as other similar priced units. It will be used in conjunction with a Dig 002R so I can have 12 XLR channels simultaneously.

I was thinking about buying a M-Audio Octane 8-Channel Mic Preamp i know what preamps do and all but I'm not sure how it would run into my Tascam2488 how would i do that?
