Tascam US-122 and pro tools compatability?

Hi all,

Just wondering if the Tascam US-122 is compatible with pro tools LE. This is my preferred software and I have just been offered a cheap US-122. So my question is:
can they be used together?
If this topic has already been discussed, i apologise for posting it up again. (i searched through and couldnt seem to find the topic so hOpefully i am not doubling up).

Pro Tools with analog mixer and gear

Hello,

I have noticed that a lot of studios have a G5 pro tools equipement and a great analog mixer like SSL Neve or trident. Most of them are equipped with great analog preamp and comp too.

So I'm wondering how those studios use PT and analog gears?
I mean Do they first plug mics to preamp and preamp to PT, and PT to mixer? (or another path?)

Hardware compatibility with PRO TOOLS

Hi I'm going into music production and my school uses Pro Tools and i want to get pro tools to use on my own computer. Do you have to use digidesigns hardware to work with Pro Tools? I have one of the new Alesis Multimix firewire mixers that i love, is that compatible with Pro Tools? So basically can i just buy the software and use it with what i have already? or do I have to buy the m-box?

Fast Track Pro and Pro Tools M-powered & Acid home studi

I have been using a Roland 1880 for years now and I have decided to slowly move over to computer (pc) based recording. I track drums and full bands on the 1880 and will eventually want to be able to do that on the PC. For now due to the lack of funds I was thinking of getting the Fast track Pro interface and Pro-tools M-powered. Is this a recommended route?
