Hi, I'm going to upgrade and probably get Pro Tools LE and the Mbox2. However I record full bands. And obviously the Mbox doesn't have enough inputs to do that. I have an Alesis Multimix Firewire that I could use just to record, say, into another recording program and then exports the wav files into Pro Tools.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get Ivory to work in Pro Tools LE 7.3

I create a stereo track, and set the output to ivory, then create a midi track and point it to it, arm the record light, and then when I hit notes on my midi keyboard the MIDI light flashes in Ivory, but it makes no sound and doesn't send any to the stereo audio track.

so i purchased the mbox2 mini today at guitar center and pro tools le 7 isn't installing. i go to the part where i check the installations i want, i choose the pro tools, asio, and the wave. then i click next and it shows those green bars and when its done, the screen turns white. please help

so I've done the mix, all the music and have told the DOP that I'll have the latest copy real soon. Then I bounce to Quicktime and everything works. I open the new movie in Quicktime and the Audio doesn't match the video (not in sync). The audio was in sync in the mix. I don't understand whats going on here.

I will be needing to get a bit used to working with Pro Tools. I now work with a Yamaha 01v96 and Cubase SX3 with mLAN. My two questions are:

1. I see no "just software" package of Pro Tools. Does that exist?
2. Will Pro Tools work with mLAN? Anybody have that setup?

Let me start by saying i'm very n00b at this stuff so excuse me if these are obvious things that i'm asking or if I'm not clear enough. I've been reading the forums a lot and now I'm trying to decide what hardware i should add to my setup,
ie.
acid 6, Sonar 5pe, and Cubase sx3.
creative soundcard that has midi inputs (pretty useless).
2ghz atholonXP 1g ramddr

subject says it all. haha. is there anyway i can do this.?

Hello. I have a simple question about using Pro Tools on my PC. I’m getting an MBOX 2 Pro firewire interface this week and I have a 2 year old Dell Dimension 4700 computer. Here are the specs:

Pentium 4
3.00 GHz
512 MB of RAM
Windows XP home edition
160 GB hard drive

Ive been using Ableton live for about a year now and i also use an Alesis Firewire Multimix 12. I'm going to get the mbox2 so I can start using pro tools. But i won't be able to record as many simultaneous inputs as i could with my multimix.

Hi guys,

I presently have a PC with Cubase SX. For sampler I use Halion, Synth: I'm using Hypersonic.
Within few months I'll be switching to Pro Tools Le because I need to be compatible with studios using Protools. (I'll probably be getting a Mac as well, sooner or later)
