Mastering with Pro Tools

Ok, so here's the deal: I'm looking to start doing some mastering, and I'm a using a Digidesign 001. I plan on going Digital out of the 001 into a Crane Song HEDD, into a Manley Vari-mu, back into the Crane Song , and into the digital in of the 001. My question is this: Will this completely bypass any potential quality loss the 001 could add to the sound?

Pro Tools setting up time signatures

I'm trying to set up a Pro Tools session in 12/8 timing but I'm not sure how to do it. How do I make the measure bar follow the key signature? When I change it to 12/8 and put markers the measure lines don't change...

My question.

I want to know if the MBox can only be used with the Pro Tools (for its various inputs)

I recently purchased PT 6.7 M Box for school, and I can't seem to find non-spam/scam tutorials, and helpful How To's about the program... on the net.

Does anyone know some good link to free Pro Tools tutorials? I have the factory bundle that comes with reason adapted, Live, etc. if that's any help.
