I've been given the task of editing and mixing a project that began on an ADAT, was transferred to some Yamaha DAW dealie and then exported to .WAV files. (This is an Americana, Folk-Rock type thing, BTW) I figured I would finally enter the 20th century and learn Pro Tools and by an mBox. All is well in tech land, no issues at all with the mBox, PTLE and my Mac.
I would like to know how to configure my equipment to use my Behringer DDX32126 as fader controller for Pro Tools LE 6.9.
I tihink you can control PAN, MUTE and something else.

I am doing the sound for a cartoon series and i have a whole bunch of audio files..hundreds - of different dialogue lines.
I want to apply a general compressor on these files - basically and i dont know the best way to chug through all these files?
So i got to thinking, pro tools HD systems run their processing off of the dsp cards. whereas LE systems(what i have) run off of the chip and ram. so i got to wondering, if i bought lets say a xeon server computer would it run pro tools faster than the HD core1 system?

If I receive a CD (16bit) to master, I convert the songs to wave files and then "import audio to track" on Pro Tools. Am I doing it all wrong? I recall an engineer doing it a while ago through the "movie" section. Can't figure it out that way. Any help would be much apprieciated! -matt
Ive decided to stick to my cool edit 2.0. Adobe behaves as if cool edit is its upgrade, working with adobe is very frastrating, the software keeps on hanging and asking frastration questions, its speed its too slow and 'heavy' damn theyd better think of redooing it I'm yet to compare cool edit and Pro Tools can sometell me some suggestions advice

I've been using RADAR's since the mid 90's and mix through an automated analog console. I'm toying with the idea of changing my rooms over to Pro Tools but have a question about the time code options I'll have.
Hey all. I don't know why but all of a sudden I am having playback troubles with my Pro Tools system. I am using LE 6.7 and I was always able to highlight a region and start playback from there. Now all of a sudden it starts from the beginning of the session even when a region is highlighted.
I have every version of PTLE you can think of from 5.3.3- 6.9
And everytime I get into my installing ASIO driver screen it freezes.
I am running:
Windows XP Perfessional SP2
AMD 64 +3700
1GB Ram (DDR 400)
256MB chaintech Geforce 6200
550w Power supply
I have been looking for any feedback on these systems. I ead about them on the Digidesign website. I am thinking about going from Apple to the PC and found the M6-R to be quite interesting. They are built by Terra Digital Audio, www,terradigitalaudio.com Or let me know if you have another suggestion. I use Pro Tools HD on a Power Mac G4.
