I have a particular song I've been working on for quite sometime, and it's actually getting to the point where this one song is holding me up from finishing an EP. The problem is that the chorus contains a few really high notes that are irritatingly piercing when I hear them through earbuds or small laptop speakers.

Hello, I've recently purchased a copy of Cakewalk's Sonar x1 Producer Edition to try to enhance my skills and move up. Cubase 5 just seemed like it was holding my hand the whole way so instead of upgrading to Cubase 6 I went with this. Anyway My Audio Interface is a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra my operating system is Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium and I'm having some weird latency issues.

Not sure if this is the right place to discuss this but so I was wondering if there are any groups that 'physically' meet in the UK just to chat and share ideas with computer music production.

Had a new customer come in today. They have a producer, this is my first time with a producer and I'm not sure where my boundaries are. I've asked them to ask the producer what exactly he will be doing with them and what I'm to expect to proceed. I own a home studio and do this in my spare time so I'm not sure if this is going to be a great idea.

I've searched very long for the right workflow. The resulting workflow can be described not as complete and is constantly evolving. When I look back, as clueless as I worked with Wavelab at First, I must laugh about me - or even ashamed. And maybe I will the current, in turn, smile again.

I was just wanting to know what would be the best computer to start with because I'm starting audio producing and i what would be a good computer

i heard macs are good but to pricey or HP computers but i don't know what computer is actually good for a first time

the question is simple (I think...):

I'm running EZ drummer within Sonar 8 producer edition and so far have managed to aution the grooves and even drag and drop them into the track box in sonar, but I just can't hear them when I press the space bar in sonar!

I have to say I'm REALLY used to the Sonar environment and its functions. my question is if there's any version in particular I should look for to upgrade to a newer one, of course. 7? 8?

also, and most importantly, would I be able to open my old Sonar 3 files from any newer version? maybe import them?
