Hey there all, I am using reason and wanted to make some new orderish type of basslines any one no what would be the best way to go about it? The subtractor?, what key?, basslines are becoming a pain. Is there like a certain pattern you are suppose to follow when making them?

Im literally just starting out and have just come to set up my midi keyboard with reason 3.0. I have followed the manuals and connected it properly and used the midi in device at the top of the rack but still i cannot link them together. Feel like ive tried literally everything now. .any advice or help would be brilliant. thanks

hey guys whts up. i m using reason 3.0 on my laptop my laptop config is
p3 HT 3.06...1gb ram 80 gb hard drive

Has anyone upgraded their systems to a board or OS that supports 64bit processors such as the Pentium D and had any problems or luck with Nuendo or Cubase SX, Reason, and effects/vst plugins, etc.? We're considering upgrading our system. Right now, we have a Pentium 4 2.4ghz processor which when the ONYX 1220 mixer is turned on takes about 50% in resources (and no there are no other tasks).

hello all, I'm intrigued by Reason. I'm not sure if it's some thing I can use. I do mostly Singer/songwriter pop, rock, folk kind of music. I get the impression that reason is used mostly for elctronic Hip hop type stuff.

So I've got my Cubase SL fired up and all's well, then I fire up Reason and all is still well, then I want an EQ and I click on my Q6 EQ. That combination for some reason produced a sound which...how shall I describe it?

Just got ReasonRhodes on sort of a leap of faith off of an E-bay auction.

I have some other Rhodes sounds and I just wanted to say It sounds freaking great. It has the warmth and tone I like to hear out of a Rhodes.

Since its always great having a Rhodes around I thought it was worth a mention.

i opened a pro tools file i was working on and i just recently got reason 3.0 so i wanted to try it out through rewire. i set one of my track inserts to reason rewired but when i played back no music came through. any idea of whats going on here?
