Hello I am new to recording and trying to record a group that I am part of and mabye others. I am confused. I have pretty much dertemend what I need to record with my pc but am still lost. Most users here just say to go read books well, I read the books in the info section, but wondered which ones I should be reading.

for my case what'll you suggest,get 2 pcs of 24track or a 48track recorder?

Ight, i've used several multi track recording softwares. i would like to know which one is the best and not too complicated to use, i'm not too skilled with recording software. the only set up i have is my guitar amp is plugged directly into my computer w/o any converters needed, having some drumg beats in the software would be nice too, thanks.

We've been an analog studio for as long as we've been around, some 20 years. Although we mix down to digital as well, the Sony/MCI JH24 has been the mainstay of our control room. My son now wants to add a Hard Drive Recorder to the control room. Is the Alesis HD24 a reasonable choice?

I'm totally new to recording. Well actually, no not really but I didnt even know about a standalone multi track recorder until recently. Anyway, I want something I can use to record our band demos, it doesnt have to be you know-the best sound but close to CD would rock.

Some of us try to record audio with a DVD-recorder ? (Panasonic, Sony)
