This seller answered all of my questions about model numbers, brand etc. He's selling UJ8XX series burners new for a good price, IMO. I got a UJ870QJ from him for $79 free shipping and it's working great!

I have a few questions for other VS-2480 users.

I just received a Roland VS-2480HD, external CD burner, and a VE-7000 channel edit controller.
There are no effects cards installed (just four empty board slots).

For some years I have been using a Roland VS 2480 . All of the digital pieces in my control room are synced by a Lucid clock; all audio equipment in the studio is on Equitech balanced power. I'd like to think that I've given the Roland converters the best opportunity to do their job. I don't have any complaints.

I was wondering if its possible to hook up my Roland VS 2480 to record with Adobe Audition 4.0? Is this possible? Or do I have to record with my 2480, and then dump the .wav files into audition?

I'm looking for opinions on which would be a preferred setup. I am currently using a Roland VS-1680 now and would like to upgrade to either the new VS-2480DVD or possibly going the PC DAW route with a Mackie Onyx 1640 including the firewire card which comes with Tracktion (Mackie's software) or maybe get Logic or Cubase. Is anyone using the Onyx firewire setup? If so what software?

Hi, I have been using Digital Performer with my Mac, Mackie Mixer, an 896 and a MOTU Express XT. I'm real happy with the setup. Someone just gave me a brand new Roland VS 2480 CD and I wondered if this can be incorporated in my setup, somehow? Does the Roland VS 2480 only record audio or does it record MIDI, as well?

I was wondering if any body knows if you can use pre existing programes to load into the roland expansion vs8 f board or deos the exiting companys such as IK make special plugins. I already own a lot of the programmes that roland is now supporting but I need some more info before purchasing this new expansion board :?
