luck with drums in small rooms?
Anyone have any sort of luck? I've read Julian's posts on other boards about the distressed mic outside the door. How big is your room and is it really dead? Is a somewhat triangular shaped room really bad? I'm just trying to get some sort of ideas, I'm sick of just having one big room for everything.

Small monitors..
I am currently running a set of NS-10's plus some Mackie monitors in my studio. I need to get a pair of small monitors like the Auratone 5c's. Are they still available anywhere and if not has anyone got some suggestions?
Ivan Gough.

Small diaphragm tube mics
Hi,
I'm considering buying a pair of Neumann (Gefell) M582. I was told that they are pretty much the same as Neumann KM54. Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks in advance.
Richard

Small condenser mics on snare?
I was thinking of trying my overhead Oktava MC012 on my snare (since it sounds great as an overhead). I see on their web site that it's SPL @ 1 Khz is >140dB. If I close-mike it, that level limitation should be fine, right?
Thanks!
