Neuman small condenser matched pair recommendation
i am considering buying a matched pair of Neumann 18x microphones and i looking for opinions and/or recommendations on which set to get. i'm going to be using them for drum overheads, stereo program recording (live bands, concerts, stage productions) and for instrument recording like guitar, violin, woodwinds, perecussion, etc.
Small deep bass monitors for room?
I can't play loud music outside where I live and I usually hang out in my Garage which is detached from the house. Soundproofing is not an option because of the way the Garage is built and it is a small 1-car garage [L16'xW10'x8'].

Recording a solo acoustic act in a small venue
I just got the go-ahead to record a live show. This is a very small venue (30 is crowded) and the show is totally acoustic. The woman I'm recording has a strong, soulful voice, plays guitar, a bad-ass blues harp, and sometimes just a tambourine.
Small portable recording device
I am new to sound recording and wanted a portable device to record family gatherings (storytelling), friends playing musical instruments and singing, children talking and various environments while travelling. I just received an Olympus WS310M digital recorder and ME51S microphone that I ordered from an online shop.

small and good practice amp
hey people ..
i'm looking for a small practice amp, around 10 W, that brings out sounds close to Slayer, Lamb of God, Trivium, that sort of music.. I have a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge, so only the amp will need to be powerful..
I was thinking something like a peavey rage 158 or so..

A building for a small studio...
Im the type a guy who doesnt like to rent. This dislike of renting is enhanced when referring to renting a space for recording. Renting a space and then making alterations to a room to accommodate a proper studio doesn't really work. first off the owner will limit what you would likely want to do to the space and second you are spending so much money on a space you dont own.

Kick drum and small diaphram condenser mics?
What are some good low-cost (< $150) kick drum and small diaphram condensers? The small-diaphram would be used for drum overheads and for recording acoustic guitar as a stereo pair.
Small headphone jack to XLR
Hey guys,
I work in a theatre (ok, ok, I'm a lighting boy :D ), and out of curiosity I was just wondering if it is possible to hook up standard stereo headphones with a boom mic (separate jacks for audio in and mic out) to the "cans" system.
