my big dumb snake
. until now, I have avoided using one. Instead, I have several pairs of 130' mic cables (on reels I bought at Home Depot) and unroll them onsite as needed. Pretty easy, up to about 6 pairs- but 12 mics is about the most I usually use on a classical gig.

XLRF Digisnake driving me crazy
I've been trying for the past hour to connect it to my Rosetta 800, but I just cant get the right pin to screw in. The left one goes in every time, but for the life of me I can't get the right to screw in. Has anyone had this same problem? Any suggestions? I've even tried another XLRF digisnake...thank you

Rapco Mic Snake
I've been reading up on the sonic differences in mic cable, and was wondering if someone could lend an opinion about the mic snake I'm currently using.
It's a 30' Rapco XLR snake with 24 XLR and 4 TRS. The strain releif on the box is black curly plastic. It runs between my live room and my control room.

Recording snake and patchbay
I am looking for a 50' 8 XLR input/1/4'' snake to use from my tracking room to console(about 30') that is of good quality and won't degrade my recording quality at all. Im using Mogami cables right now and my soldering skills aren't very good, so I would like to buy a pre-built snake.

Need a good "snake box" coiling system.
We do quite a bit of recording for various shows around town and now our snake is getting pretty beat up.
We would like to know if there are any recommendations of a "snake coiling system" or similar.
For example, a wind up box that we can use to wind up our snake and then it's protected for the road, etc...

Can anyone please tell me which good brand names they recommend?
Please, keep in mind I dont want any sort of bargin cable
FYI---I am only using Mogami cables at the moment
