Different Speakers; Different Sound

Hey RO'ers, I need some help with a dilemma I am having. I have a track recorded and mixed down which plays very well on my monitoring speakers, but when I play the same track in a car stereo the sound of the bass drums doesn't hit as well as they do in the studio. Is there any way to compare the way tracks will sound on different speakers?

Vintage dbx A1 Soundfield omnidirectional speakers

Anyone familiar with dbx A1's? I have an opportunity to buy a pair of these and I'm planning on reselling. The controller box is not with the speakers(I believe the controller is simply a "tuned" high-low filter and could probably be easily reproduced).

I can't find much info on them, they must not have made/sold many. But what I have found says they are the ultimate in speakers.

anchor self powered speakers

I'm in rehersals with an anchor system as the main. It's one powered with one passive in parrallel. I'll be suplimenting them with eons for the show, but have a question about them in general. They are generating a whole ton of self noise. I don't work with this sort of industrial side equipment, so i'm supposing it's just the way they are.

speakers with Mbox

so i have an mbox coming in the mail anyday now and I'm just thinking before it get here of how I'm to set up speakers with it and my computer. as of now i have two Alesis monitors hooked up to my mac. i have them running through a splitter from the headphone out of the computer and then split to 1/4 inch for each speaker. now i know with the mbox there are speaker line outs.
