Stereo Spectrum
Hello,
Does anyone find the stereo spectrum of most commercial releases more "full" in sound than your own home studio recordings?

Using Pro Powered Monitors with regular home stereo
Anyone have any good suggestions for interfacing some powered monitors (JBL LSR28s) up to a home stereo (Kenwood Amp) so that I can still use the remote control to control the volume of the monitors but not double amplify?

what are the advantages / disadvantages of using a stereo preamp versus using two mono preamps?
And what's "stereo-linking"?
Cheers

Stereo vs. . Mono Recording
I would just like some feedback on the differences between stereo and mono while recording. I have adobe audition and i was wondering if recording in mono is any different then stereo? I'm only able to record in mono but when i do a mixdown it's put into stereo.

Removing stereo component of recording and leaving center?
I can do the opposite (removing the center), that's easy, but I'm beating myself over the head trying to figure out how to do the reverse. :(
I'm using the phase invert function in pro tools. Please tell me this is scientifically impossible so I can get on with life, or tell me how to do it
Thanks

Samples... Stereo or Mono?
Hey all, quick question:
When putting samples into Pro Tools and mixing them within the drums, vocals, bass, etc.., is it better to keep them Mono or Stereo?
Does it all depend on how busy the sample is?
Thanks!

Bass travels in stereo image
Hi there
I'm a total newbie to recording and mixing but I find it really exciting. Well I have a question (of course) about this track I'm trying to mix. It seems the bass guitar is kind of bouncing between the left and right guitar tracks. It does'nt do this if I solo the track. I can't figure this one out.
Thanks
