I'm looking to buy a new amp for our studios pair of NS-10s and was wondering where to look without breaking the bank. We are on a pretty tight budget at this time and while others have suggestion Bryston and the likes, it is unfortunately out the question at this point. Is there an affordable amp that will do the job well? What is everybody else using on theirs?

hey guys, i'm working a pop folk tune, and i'm looking for some good VST instruments to spice up the already recorded track.
I have Cubase's stock instruments, but i'm really not a fan :|

I had a disaster last week while recording and I'm curious if anyone has a suggestion on what went wrong.

I'm interested in upgrading my virtual instruments vis a vis Acoustic Piano sounds, Drum sounds & Orchestral. Right now I'm running Apple Logic on a MacBookPro w/Apogee's Ensemble as audio interface & have the Apple jam pack instruments, ultrabeat drummer, also I have Garritan orchestra which is not very impressive sonically.

So; I have around $300-400 that I can spend on purchasing some drum overheads for my home studio. I'd like to replace the cheap MXL 603's that I've been using with, I guess, "less" cheap ones. I've been reading some interesting things on different sites about the Avantone CK-1's and the Kel KM-1's.

So i'm just starting to build up my home studio. My interface is the Tascam US800, i currently have a guitar, bass guitar, MAudio Midi Keyboard, Mic and i'm looking to get a drum machine. As i'm new to this i'm looking for suggestions. I'm been doing some research and so far i'm been checking out the Akai XR20 Drum Machine. Any one have any experience with this thing?
