I just purchased a pair of PMC TB1 monitors and am looking for advise on what amp to buy to power these speakers, my budget can stretch to about €300 and preferably 2nd hand. The speakers will be used as main monitors along with Auratone Single Speaker & Samson Servo-170 amp in my control room.

Hi everybody I've got about $400.00 to spend on a mic that will be used primarily for Micing sax and flute. I was thinking about possibly picking up an Electro-Voice RE20 for the job based on some things I have read in the past about them.

My life is pretty hectic for the next two months, but I'm considering doing an LDC vocal mic shootout after things settle down. This is mostly me wanting to add a better mic to the locker for female vocal. I feel like I do pretty well with my dynamics or the K2 for male vocals, but I'd like something more "elegant" for female vocals.

I've been reading around, but everyone has a different budget & goals, so any advice on ramping up a home studio by these params is appreciated!

I am an AV tech with a dillema. I am tired of using my company's cheapo mics to mic pianos when they come through. I was wondering what would be a good general purpose microphone that is pretty good sounding on pianos for under $100. any suggestions? I would be buying this, not the company so 100 is all I can justify spending for something that really won't monetarily benefit me.

Hello - I am a newbie to the forum. Not to playing music.
I am a drummer and am trying to find the right mics for my style.
I play in a Celtic group. Fiddle, Piano, Drums, and sometimes vocals.

My MOTU 8pre died after a couple of years, with absolutely no help from MOTU. The customer support is non-existent. Months of trying to call, email, technical support online, etc. I'm done with them.

I'm looking at the RME Fireface 400. Opinions on this one?

Other suggestions?

I use it for my keyboards, guitars, and vocals with Cubase SX3.

This is a recording I recently did for a friend's grad school pre-screening CD. It was recorded with 2 CAD e70's in a stereo xy configuration.

Oh, boy. I know I'm opening a can of worms on this one...

I need to get vocals to another level. I currently have no pitch correction capabilities. I'm running Cubase le4 - soon to upgrade to 5 which I know has a pitch corrector in it.
