I thought I’d share this because I’m pretty pleased with what I have done. Pre-covid we recorded a show in a theatre and ended up with a hard drive full of the video clips from cameras and the sound files recorded from the M32 to a MacBook.

Is there anyway I could synchronize Tascam HS-P82 with Sound Devices Mixpre-6 during recording, so that the audio tracks would be in sync for mixing.

I have never worked with syncing, so my question may be naive, but maybe somebody has some actual experience and could share his/her knowledge.

I would like to synchronize the parameters of both Samplitude (VU) and the AM | Munition, in order to make both have the same measurement on the same real time.

I tried to change the decay time and peak hold (AM), but the graphics do not reflect the same reading of the audio at runtime.

I would like to analyze analog circuits by sending a stimulus through it and then recording the output, changing the circuit slightly and then running the test again to produce two *almost* identical .wav files that can then be compared sample-for-sample.

You have a full mix and you need to remove one track?
You have the separate track, but the files need to be perfectly synchronized.

I am going to start off by saying I am a pHD student in evolutionary biology, so my knowledge of acoustics and what not are minimal at this point. I am enrolled in an engineering noise control class this semester to fix that.

I keep hearing about word clocks and how the RME products have such good ones. I basically understand that a good sync helps sound but basically nothing else. I have a Firestudio Mobile and am running Cubase SX3. Right now the synchronization setup is set to internal timecode and this is the only way I've ever recorded.

I use a Roland VS 2400 CD in master and the logic express as slave. I used the fonction " synchronisation track" from the vs. 2400 as synchronisation solution.

What is it used for?

(I got it along with a Lexicon 2400 (used package deal)).

It seems to have 2 sets of AES/EBU in/outs.
