Thin guitar sound when recording
Hi all.
There are so many threads on so many forums on so many websites where this very issue is discussed so I wasn't sure where to start but believe I've chosen the right place to start and ask questions (based on the content of these forums).

balance between a woofy vocal and a thin tinny vocal
Hey guys, I'm having a tough time with something and thought this would be the perfect place to ask for help and advice. So about a week ago, I submersed myself in a few intense projects with the focus being on recording and mixing vocals. They went well and I feel confident about the end products.
Best Mic for Thin Male Voice?
Im currently using an Avalon with a tlm 103. It sounds better with fuller voices though. I want to get another mic preampferrably a tube thats warmer then a TLM 103. Any suggestions? Price range is up to 5k, i just want the right mic for this application.

I was told that my mixing technique sounds thin, needs beefing up and lacks depth.

Help! Thin Guitar Recordings
I have been struggling to record a decent guitar sound to accompany a rather good drum and bass sound my band has put together.
Some problems we have encountered are:
Thin/very static-y/fuzzy guitar recordings eventhough the room sound sounds smooth/warm.
or, very muffled, unclear and unpresent recordings that sound equally as awful.
