Please post your opinions regarding the use of pro tools LE in conjunction with UAD DSP plugins. What issues do you experience with RTAS to VST adapter, plugin delay compensation, latency etc.

I know a lot of you swear by the UAD card as far as plugins go. Well, I just ordered mine from Sweetwater.

I got the Flexi-pack mainly because it's considerably cheaper than the ultimate pack (or whatever it's called) and I don't need ALL of the plugins.

My thought was to use the $500 voucher to get:

can anyone tell me the real big differences between an UAD Realverb or Dreamverb (that is what i have to work with) and a highend verb like Lexicon 480. i do not mean the different in price ;-)
i mean sound etc...

Sorry guys but the UAD forum is down and I feel rather retarded.

quick summary:
3 days ago ntldr files somehow became corrupted. Copying them from boot disc didnt fix it, so I re-installed XP to a second location for a fresh boot.
no information is lost, but I have to re-install everything. Kind of a pain, but it is what it is.

I have a two part question.

One for the Uad users, is this product one of high quality? do the plugins really off that vintage tube/analog sound to vocals and instruments.

Hi, I've just installed version 4.1 of the UAD1 plugs on my Digi002 PT 7 LE system and activated the demo of the Multiband Limiter; I've inserted the limiter on the master track of a project and I get this situation: the right channel remains unprocessed while the left channel is processed but delayed! I've already tried to change the playback buffer (latency) settings... any suggestions?

can some explain to me exactlt how the Uad by UA work?
I mean I know that it frees up processing power in your computer for plugins, but is it supposed to replace external units(COMPS/EG/etc.)

A friend just bought a project pack, got the free LA-2A and wondered what would be good for buying and downloading expressly for mastering?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC, partly because I can't seem to get rid of clicks/pops from my MOTU firewire... Tried just about everything.
And of course I'd like a faster machine for my Cubase use...

Anyone using a combination of the 828 and UAD-1, with no problems? and if so - which Mobo/CPU do you use?
