UAD-1 Project or Studio?

I am on a tight budget but need some way of running a lot of effects on my tracks. The UAD-1 has been suggested as the best option, however I don't know whether it is worth my $$$ to go ahead and get the studio pack. I think from the website that the project pack will suit my needs just fine. I typically use reverbs, compression, eq and limiters. What do you guys recommend?

Which UAD-1 plugs considered essential?

. I've heard good about the Pultec and the LA-2A . .

I havn't bought yet and I am deciding between the project and studio paks...

the plugs I'm using are the Kjuher(sp?)-audio classic series plugs, and from what I've read and heard the UA plugs should be quite an improvement.

so, which plugs would i get the most immediate bennefit from?

is it worth passing up on a UAD for a 2.0 1GB?

if you had a choice of getting a dual 1.8 w/ 1GB to run a UAD flawlessly or passing on the UAD to get a 2.0 w/ 1GB, which would you choose?

Will the CPU and front bus make that great of a difference?

I really love access to those plugins and i hear it runs poorly on the pci-x slots in the 2.0s+

does uad-1 project pack sound comparrable to Wavesplugins?

hi, I'm looking to maybe purchase an uad-1 project pack. i dont want to upgrade my cpu and this seemed like a pretty good way to go. I'm going to have Cubase sx3 and i was wondering if it would be worth the xtra 400 big ones more to get the uad or just use the pluginsthat come with cubase. also how do those pluginssound compared to waves? thanks a ton!
