I am looking for a good bus compressor plug for my new UAD-2. My #1 purpose will be a drum bus, #2 for rough masters. Anyone have any thoughts on these 2 and which they like better for what? I know its highly subjective (as are most posts), but that's the point! As always, I'd greatly appreciate any input. Thanks guys!

I updated to 10.5.3 first via Software Update and after reading a thread that recommended the Combo update I have tried that without any correction to my issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions about purchasing a UAD card as far as what package they like. I'd love to by the extreme pack but at $2000 it's a little steep. I'm just wondering if many of the plugs are redundant enough that it's not really worth having all those choices of EQs and compressors. Then again, more IS more. Hehe. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok so I haven't got it yet, but I am dreaming about it already. I have $750 dollars worth of coupons for plugins to use up at thier online store.

I only want compressors and EQ's for now:

So far I am thinking:
1) Fairchild 670
2) LA-2A
3) Neve 1073 EQ
4) 1176LN
5) Precision De-Esser

I'm trying to juice up my plugin instances count in PT 002 on a Mac G5 dual 2G.
I have researched these products but don't find any user reviews besides the marketing quotes.

Anyone know of any Native plugin that comes close to UAD's LA-2A and the 1176LN emulation.

I will be getting a UAD pack in about a month. But untill then I need a plugin that has the Lushness and Creamyness of the UAD's LA-2A .

The resaon I'm asking this is two part. 1. I'm currently running Logic 5.5.1 on PC and will soon be moving to Mac to upgrade to the latest version of logic but I want to buy a UAD-1 now to use on current projects. 2. As I have to buy the UAD-1(pci) to work in my current system, will it work also on the newest Macs? Or do you have to purchase the UAD-1e(pci express) for the new Macs.
