first voice-over job
Hi all.
I run a small music production studio, and since I need the money, I have taken on a voice-over job. The job is to record an audiobook for a 60 year old female author and since I have never done this type of work before, I am looking for advice. I already have a small, silent, very dead booth. The types of things i'd like to know are:

Voice Prod.
When I use to do 30 hours, running/week of Vox...the producers has so many formats.
1 Scratch, then punches.
2 Do it 20 times...each line. We will cut best.
3 Strait up, then next track.
4.Keep and reap.
5.Rape and pilage.

M147 or U87 for Vox?
Hi guys,
Firstly thanks to those of you who advised on a big band recording I had to do with limeted mics, was a great sucess, thanks! :p )
Budget will stretch to buying a U87 or an M147 for this purpose.
I am inclined to go for the M147, but would much appreciate any views on this.
Thanks

Tc voice strip
I have a digi 001 system and have done some mixing on a tdm system using tc voice strip on vocals. this thing sounds great. Is there anything similar for rtas? I am not quite ready to jump to tdm and am even considering getting logic and the powerworks card to use with th 001. Any info would be appreciated.

Save me from THE VOICES !
You have to buy one of the following mic preamps or the world will explode. (Decoded meaning you have some spare cash and the voices are telling you must ABSOLUTELY MUST blow it on a new pre.)
Your current options are:
2 channels of Vintech 1272
1 of X73
Buzz Audio
2 used AMEK 9098's.

Need cheap comp recomendations for live vox.
Hi guys
I'm doing a swap deal with a buddy where I'm getting rid of my 3630.
I use it only for live vocals where it does the job for me.
I have an RNC for recording but I prefer the 3630 live.
I know, go figure right?
