Best mic for PC desktop for voice?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to see what would be the best type of mic to use to amplify my voice while I'm playing online games. I'm going to be wearing wireless headphones and turning off my pc speakers so I'm just looking for an above average mic to mount on a small die cast stand on my desktop.
Any input is greatly appreciated, Thanks, StratMan23

Loud Voice or not?
Before I send a mix in before mastering, wouldn't it be best if the vocals are just a little louder than most of the mix? Not much just a 1/2 db or db. It just seems like the compression and limiting is going to crush the vox anyway, right? I also like to mix my drums loud, is that a problem?

I use wavelab 4.0, Adobe Auditions 1.0 and FL Studio 5.0.
How to add voice. I am fimiliar how to use Adobe Auditions and Fruity Loops, but I am still learning Wavelabs. Is there an easy and fast way to add voice to fl studio 5.0?

Head Voice - I can't do it
Am I immune. Jeez. I'd really like some info on head voice because,
1) I don't know if I fully understand what it is, what it's definition is, what separates it from falsetto...etc.
2) I have wondered for years if perhaps, simply, SOME PEOPLE CANNOT DO IT. Just as I am nearly certain there are people who could not sing on key if their lives hung in the balance.

PreSonus Eureka vs. . Focusrite Voice Master Pro
Any advice please. I have narrowed my pre-amp selection down to these two : Focusrite Voice Master Pro or a PreSonus Eureka.
Which would be the better to choose or not to choose and why?
Voice Master Pro, Voice Works or Antares VP1?
Please help.
I can't make up my mind as to what to get.
I want to improve my vocal recordings and am looking at one of the following 3 units:
- Focusrite Voice Master Pro
- Antares Vocal Producer 1
- TC Hellicon Voice Works
All have good and bad reviews.
Or I would just get a Behringer Tube Composer and incert that over my vocal channels?
Focusrite (Green) Voice box MK II before IAS Fireface 800?
Hi,
I apologize in advance if this is not the right place to post this.
I just picked up an IAS Fireface 800 firewire interface and am wondering if using the older (lower-end?) Focusrite Voice Box MKII for vocal channel strip/preamp (before the Fireface) would be a good idea.
This is for a home studio.
Deftones Vox
I'm curious about what effects and processing is used for the Deftone's albums, particularl Adrenaline and White Pony. What kind of distortions/overdrives, delays, compression, chorus, reverb, etc.?
