can anyone tell me how to connect an outboard effects unit into a zoom 1608. the web site says to connect to the line ins but that doesn't seem to work. ideally i want to be able to route the effect wherever i want

I'm about to purchase a multitrack recorder. I'm leaning towards the Zoom 1608. One other consderation is the Korg 1600, but the Zoom seems to be more in line with the features I will need/want.

Any one got one of these new ZOOM Dig- recorders?
I got the MRS8 on the way, I really think It's gunna be an easy
recorder to use. Guitar player friendly.

I will use an external Behringer MX2642A console to add some EQ on the sorce before getting them "on track". But the EQ is just three band with variable mid.
