So I bought my fast track from a friend. He gave me the Pro Tools se, cord, and interface. I hooked it up to my mac (10.7.5) and tried to play something but nothing came out. Everything is configured in preferences for fast track to be the input but still nothing. I tried looking for a software installation online, but couldn't find one for macs. What could be the problem? Also my computer cant install the SE software.

this should get you started. pro tools is very specific about installation. you gotta follow the directions exactly, or you will likely see issues.
the first thing you did incorrectly was connect your interface before installing the program. So start by completely removing all fastrack drivers, and fastrack related applications.
then follow the manual/video step by step, in order, exactly as written.
