May I fist say that Wavessupport sucks and I will never buy another Wavesproduct.
It would seem that after I spent over $800 for my plugins, I would now have to give Wavesanother $250 plus to get any direct support, so hopefully one of you may be able to help me as I don't have the money.
When I open my Cubase files, the Waves plugins are not loading properly about 95% of the time. When I open a plugin to edit it, the GUI is a blank white box. When this happens I usually get errors when closing Cubase about " plugin did not release object" etc. It said on the Wavessupport site that I should "disable Hyper Threading" in my Bios, but my bios doesn't have that option.
Also, my group FX sometimes are turned off when I open a file.
Any help would be appreciated.

Waves support is fine as long as you continue to funnel money into thier WUP program. If not, they cut you off. No contact allowed unless you are an active member of WUP which will cost me around $250.00.
2 GB of ram is way more than you need to do what I'm doing. Win XP will only utilize 2GB of ram anyway.
This is a new machine. Didn't have the problem on the old machine. I have reinstalled both waves and Cubase with no improvement.

I know how you feel. mine worked on my old system but not the new one. Mine could be a build issue though as on my new PC I use XP Pro 64 bit Edition and a 64 edition of SONAR-6 Producer Edition and no SP2.
Don't give up but keep checking the forums like you are. I would go the to the cubase forums and see if anyone there has had the same problem with a similar system.
If you still have your old PC, check to see if the plug-ins are in the same folders and if the new cubase install settings are the same.
Good luck

Well, I think Waves support is really good. You need to e-mail them under the support heading. They usually e-mail back right away. They have actually called me from Israel.
I'm not a PC person, but right off I'd say you need more RAM.
XP SP2 might help also.
