Hi guys. Can anyone tell me how the power supply on an Ibis is configured, all I need to know is if they are switchable between 110v and 240v or if a special 240v psu is required? John do you know?I bet you do. The price difference between here (Australia ) and the USA is several $$$$ grand.I'm thinking of importing 1.Since the free trade agreement was passed between our two great countries hardly any retailers in Aus are passing on price reductions since tariffs were reduced.
Thanks in advance.

Guys thanks, all I can say is "yippee". I just checked the price in a USA store and they want I think $3700,at the Aussie store I checked they want $7500 can you believe this. Also I noticed it may be hard for me to actually buy one from the states as on the Mercenary audio site the Cranesong product pages say these are US prices only and they wont ship Cranesong overseas at the same rates.
I mean I could fly over have a nice holiday and pick up an Ibis myself for $7500. I might call the supplier here and see what the best deal would be.Unless it came in under $5000 I'd just import one.
Well I hope an Aussie supplier reads this as alot of studio owners I know are importing things themselves now, because the suppliers here are a rip off.I'm happy to pay a mark up but not double, our exchange rate is roughly 75c in the dollar.
Thanks again.

That, or contact Crane Song - I'd imagine they could help out somehow. At least with some sort of purchasing advice.
You could always get a voltage step down transformer 220VAC/110V
You could always get a voltage step down transformer 220VAC/110VAC for less than 40 US dollars. That would solve your problem at a reduced cost if the IBIS does not have a "universal powersupply"
