I have a 11 x 13 x 9ft ceiling room with a front window that covers most of that wall. My problem is when I center my mixing position on this window wall as I have been advised to do by other designers, I get one speaker in front of the window and one on what's left of the wall. So one speaker on window and one on a wall.
Does this sound like a bad idea for imaging for the speakers since they will not be on the same surface? I probably will have to put some trapping behind the speakers as well.
Any advice would make my day at this point. Thank you.
You could build a window plug to help with isolation and imaging
You could build a window plug to help with isolation and imaging. I would also get that carpet off the floor. Once you get good imaging then you will deal with the selective absorbtion that this carpet is capable of.
