I found a tool that seems like it would be great for doing a super clean install of Windows XP.
It lets you customize the installation to install ONLY what you want it to. You can eliminate all the crap parts of windows that you don't need that slow down your system. You can also slipstream service packs and [possibly] other updates as well.
I just found out about it last night and I haven't used it yet, so I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else has used it or a similar tool and what they thought of it. I'm going to do a clean install of XP on my laptop to see how well this tool works.
it's called nLite: http://www.nliteos.com/
If anyone has any comments about it, please post them. I'm interested to know more about tools like this one.
No comments yet, but thanks for the link. I'm soon to re-instal
