Maybe no one has played both or either amp. I haven't so any opinion would be uninformed. Try posting on harmony central or one of the Metal sites but something more guitar oriented.

Do you feel that your ear has gone to the point where you cant achieve what you hear with what you currently play on?

I sense this is your struggle and you are casting about in a huge sea of semi-okay gear in order to get your sound dialed.

DD, you are right man, and that is the reason that this christmas I am going to buy a Mesa 4x12 cab with 4 vintage 30's for $949 instead of a cheaper cab. I have researched the Tiny Terror/Dual Terror amps for the last few weeks and they seem killer, really awesome. The thing about me purchasing one is that I know it won't be the last amp that I buy, but I don't currently gig or anything, and the lower wattage won't drive my parents to the point of kicking me out of the house :lol: I figure that even if one day I am in a stable band then I'll still need a practice amp.

Thanks for sympathizing with me. That's the main reason I come here looking for advice, because what you get here isn't a product fanboy, or an adolescent opinion, it's custom tailored advice. I appreciate it.

I am assuming that you would support the notion of picking up a used Mesa Dual Rectifier off of ebay then?

Yeah. Mesa is very very good gear.
