Ok..obviously..I'm a little dumber than I look..pretty amazing..you use mics to record drums..right? so how many mics? and is there a thing that I can plug those cords into..to make it just one plug?
So it looks like you have no idea wha you are talking about. But dont worry about it we were all there once!
To answer your questions. Yes. you ue mic's to record drums. and Yes there are ways to make it "just one plug".
Im taking it that you know your not gonna gettin the best of qualtiy because your still new to the whole recording thing but this is the basics.
Lets say you have 3 drum mic's (keep it simple for now)
-Kick Mic
-Snare Mic
-Overhead Mic. (this mic is on a stand above the kit facing down at it.)
From there you have a lot of options. You can take the three cords and plug them into a mixer, then into a multitrack recorder. Or just straight into a multitrack. You could use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) If you have a good enough computer nearby. theres many other things you could do.
Let me know what you want to do with your recordings. (how good of quality) and how big of a budget you are on. I can help you out some from there. If you have aim my sn is xX5thQuarterXx.
You could also try searching the forums. i bet this topic comes up ALOT
