Hi, Im using a Apex 435 condenser mic. when i have a xlr-to-XLR cable connected to the mic to the mixer, the mic works. whenever i connect xlr-to-1/4 phone to the mic then to the mixer, the mic does not work. what can be some problems? phantom power is on so thats ok. anyone have any ideas?

Phantom power is usually only passes on the XLR connectors and almost never on 1/4 inch TRS connectors...and absolutely positively never on 1/4 inch TS connectors.
Why doesn't it work...because you're using the wrong connections when you go to 1/4 inch...the answer is really that simple.
