Ok,

So, I have been doing a lot of searching on the net, and I can't find a whole lot of options for my situation.

Situation:
I am trying to send full .PTF files back and forth between another band member and our producer. I know they are huge, I know how to do .wav and mp3s. We all have Pro Tools LE setups, so we want to be able and continue work on each project between the three of us.

I know about the DigiDelivery system and have used that through high-end studios, but I can't afford the $4k to buy the unit.

Does anyone have any suggestions, FTP server ideas, large email accounts?

All input is greatly appreciated.

What does that mean? Mp3 conversion will degrade a .wav file, so why even consider it as an option?

I did NOT want to use mp3 due to the degradation of the files, and I really don't want to send individual .wav files due to time constraints and ease. I was just saying that so I didn't get random noob answers.

I just want to be able to send a complete .PTF so the others can open just like I do on my setup. Like I said, I know the DigiDelivery client is available, but it is rediculously expensive.

Have you tried any of the sites you listed above? I mean, it makes sense, I just am hoping someone can say, "do this, I do it all the time and works perfectly."

Yousendit is fine but you'll have to pay for anything larger than 100MB. Their free service is extremely slow.

There's the option if creating a torrent. I've never tried this, though I've been tempted. It's free but I'm not so sure how secure it is. I suppose no one is going to search for "track02nobodysbusiness10509". Just a thought. If you did do it this way you could just open up your upload stream and have files sent in a relatively short time.

Aside from that any paid ftp site would probably be the best bet.

I use both.

If you have any tech support chops at all you can set up a computer to be the server and use that. For that matter you can purchase a domain name and often part of the service is web space, enough to do what you are talking about.

It is just a matter of making up your mind what it is you want to do. There are too many options out here to spend money, as a start up.

http://skydrive.live.com/ might be of some use.
