What I don't understand is: how can someone justify spending upwards of $1200.00 for recording software that they have little or no knowledge of how to operate? Much less being able to do it on an analog rig? It's rediculous and if you're legitimate I appologize but I really wonder how someone can gather the cahones to download software and then go asking people who have paid for theirs how to make best use of their hacked and cracked warez?

its not that i dont know how to operate the software is that i was mixing a track the other day added some reverb an chorus to di voices and the levels went up u see im just starting as an mixing engineer so u cant jus jump to conclusion if u gonna help help if not don bother to critize

Just starting out but can afford $1200.00 software? The same rules apply to mixing analog or digital, essentially. I am more than willing to help someone who has legitimate software. If you're making use of the software at a studio with the license fine. If you're using hacked software, don't expect help from someone who has to pay exorbitant prices because the software company has to spend an excessive amount of money on R & D just for copy protection.

dats the software i use at the studio i dont have a copy i cant afford i use fruity loops to make ,ma beats

maybe you are processing your vocals too much?

My first guess is that you're using fx as inserts instead of as sends.

they r all sends all of them have there own fx channel cuz i grouped the voices in terms of chorus verse adlibs an intro an they have they own fx chanel

Then go through the signal chain and figure out why you're clipping. Are you sending too much signal to the effect? Do you have the effect output set too high? Any time you double a track you increase the level. Do you have a lot of duplicated tracks? If you want to learn the software, you have to learn how to figure out what you're doing wrong. You're not always going to have someone holding your hand through the process so figure out where you're problem is.

well most of the send levels r like -2 some - 3 or 4 plus there r alot of duplicates in the track

Hey, what you need to do is automate either the sends or the FX channels til they compliment the vocals and not saturate. If you dont know how to automate, ask someone at the studio to show you how its done, it will come in very handy.
