Op Amp Recommendation

What op-amp is considered today to be the best for building mixers, eq, etc. I have +-24V available.

I don't know about mixers specifically, but anything from AnalogDevices is regarded highly. http://www.analog.com/

It really depends on the design on the mixer. Certain Op Amps will react better with other components and how they are built into the chain.

Analog Devices are indeed very nice...OP176's were the top choice but they are discontinued :(

Burr Brown has some nice ones as well.
