Ok I have read, read, and read finally went out and bought some used equipment Digidesign 002 and Pro Tools 8 le. What do I need to get the software to work? I believe it has been loaded on a previous PC, but the guy never uses it anymore and has since uninstalled it. Is there other items besides the Digidesign and software that I need with this? A friend whom uses cakewalk just said all you should need is the interface and software and off you go.

From what I have read it appears you need to transfer the license? or is this possible and if so how? Sorry for the questions and thanks for any help.

There is that factor that you must have the correct specified computer specifications. Certain chipsets and CPUs are not necessarily all compatible. You might have other software installed that prevents proper loading of the program? Some of this can be tricky stuff to deal with. Sometimes, with some of the numerous computers I've had, it has taken numerous attempts before I got a successful load of the program. Even certain Microsoft updates can be problematic and none of which I can actually directly tell you about. So as recommended, you might want to contact DUC.

This can drive you crazy.
