I just got a BSS dpr901II Dynamic Equaliser from E-bay, loving it!
My problem is, unless in split mode, this unit only has one output and I need two.
I only need one of them to be balanced (going to my A/D), and the other can be unbalanced since it's just for monitoring purposes.
Question:
If I use a "regular" DI box for this, will this dengenerate the balanced signal going to the converter in any way?
Do I need to get a really expensive one, or will something more budget friendly handle this easy task without degenerating my audio path?

-Ahh, of course, stupid me... it's balanced line on a XLR output...
This is for studio use, I use hardware monitoring exclusivly, using a small mixer for this. It's more convenient setting monitor levels using physical faders I think.
Also, having software monitoring disabled, there's no need for low latency settings that makes my old ass computer puke.
The Coleman seems great. Though it's described as a "line level selector" that "allow for easy switching..." With this box being passive, can I really use it to get two simultanius independent outputs?

I don't believe the Coleman LS3 has a switch at all. The ProCo Switch Witch is for sure a passive full time split. I don't work for Sweetwater and receive no commission from them (disclaimer) but they have both in stock and the pictures don't show any switches. Hey, don't sweat the splitter level. In a pinch you could use a mic splitter but the internals are slightly different.
Now of course, if you are summing on a small mixer, won't it have duplicate master outputs? What's the mixer?

If you want the capability to monitor just prior to AD conversion you need a line level splitter not a DI box or a mic level splitter. Coleman makes a small unit that would work- the LS3. ProCo makes the Switch Witch which I like better. You just need it to be line level when you research the box that fits your needs.
