There is talk of trying to make this "the" audio file format across the board. Unfortunately I cant find much info on it, does anyone know much about it?
Cubase SX now defaults to it on PCs and Macs pretends it cant see them. Will Digi adopt this file format?

um, Digi already has... just not as default. I believe you have to set the project up from the get go to record broadcast wave. If not then you have to bounce the tracks to broadcast wave if you want to export in this format. If you start your project to record in this format to begin with it is much easier.

Broadcast wave is basically a wave file with additional information in the header. Most importantly time stamp which preserves the audio's place on the timeline. This makes export or import much easier as the start time of the imported/exported file does not have to be at the start of the project. The timestamp automatically places it where it needs to be in the timeline.
