I'm using cool edit pro to record, and i just realized when i say words with hard "k" sounds, like "cool" or "cat", it sounds bad in the mic, does anyone know how to fix that?:mad:

You can start by reading the rules of the board. We don't like people cross posting the same question to multiple forums.

Your problem is with a "plosive" consonant sound. p, d, t, b can cause the same type of problem. The first step is to improve your vocal technique. Search "plosives singning" for tips. Next, try a pop filter. You can buy them or put a nylon stocking over a loop of coat hanger wire. (Again, search for other DIY solutions.) Next work with mic position. (Maybe this should be second.) try putting the mic at nose level and aiming down at the lips. Experiment with distance and angle.

sorry about that, i just had to see which forum got the most traffic, and replies for my question, and i see this one got the most traffic, and the best answer as well, so i wont do multiple topics again.
