This is going to kill the majority. And what a shot of the mixer. Very nice indeed. All UA needs to do now is build the DAW and its over lol. Too bad we're feeding China though, oh I hate hearing this. I fear the empire is shifting. And you all are feeding the hand that will bite back one day. Maybe just a nibble lets hope. Never the less, I love the entire concept of this.

Its going to be an interesting evolution happen because you can track with plug-ins now. Am I understanding this right? If so, all the geeks that say never track with comps, etc, well lets just listen to what this thing creates for music this next decade.

Gear doesn't matter, ya right. I'd call this gear. It gives me some feeling of a very cool sampling processor/ ADDA. The new frontier is about to unfold.

Thanks for posting this Hue.

That's right you can track with plugins. Because the DSP comes before it ever hits the Computer's CPU, there is virtually 0 latency once it hits your DAW. They have virtual latency free plugins with the UAD-2 cards as well but I doubt it works as well as it likely does in the Apollo.

I think it's very likely that Avid will be producing something very similar this coming NAMM. Look out for it. Of course the other thing is that Avid's will only run AAX Plugins.
