i would definetly go the vox as i dont really like the sound of fender amps :roll:

I guess it comes down to your taste and what music its used for e.g. accoustic or rock.

Don´t these use very different power tubes? They should sound quite different. What narrowed it down to those two?

If it was purely the sound then I´d check the rest of the features: FX loop, gain range, portability, durability, noise, recording out, other on board goodies etc. I might want to add a cabinet in the future, like 2x 10".

I more of a Fender than a Vox fan. Either brand has its rich history.
