Hi, I really love the guitar sound on the new Killswitch Engage album. My band is going into the studio in a couple weeks and that is what I want my guitar to sound like. Can any one help me? I have a mesa boogie dual rectifier and mesa boogie box. I also have a Laney Head and box and access to a marshal box. Not sure on the exact specs. Im using a custom 22 PRS guitar.
What is the best way to achieve that sound using my equipment?

ok..well best way to get a mesa to sound the way you want is by
ok..well best way to get a mesa to sound the way you want is by using a ts9 in front of it for gain. this will overdrive the amp and allow you to use less gain on the head.
set the mesa up around these settings bass =5 mids = 4 treble =6 presence =8. Gain will be no more then 5 and should sound nice and clean, but still brutal.
