Hi,

I was curious regarding the Bass roll off switch.

For regular mixing I keep the Bass freq switch in the middle. For playback I will switch it to 37Hz.

It of course has the NS-10 simulation roll off as well at respectfuly 80Hz.

My qestion is should I be mixing in the standard setting at 47Hz, or use the more trastic 80Hz?

I never seemed to have problems for 15 years useing the NS-10s, as far as getting a good mix to the source.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Peace to the Engineers on this Globe!

I actually thought the bass was a little hyped on these as well, when I first got them, but then I moved them out into a larger room, and they got really natural in the bottom end. I think they've got more extension than most anything their size, and are more likely to highlight extreme low end problems in a room that other small monitors just aren't going to reveal.

Hi Jon,

My set up goes like this: My monitors are on a shelf behind the board agaist the wall of a thick oak Hutch.

They are close up agaist the wall, but I am in a small area so the best I can do is set the "Half space."

Are you saying then that the monitors sound better with nothing behind them? (Bass responce wise)

Cheers,
