Greetings,

 I do not understand MIDI at all. I received the Behringer V AMP2 as a gift. I purchased the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI FOOT CONTROLLER to switch between banks and presets. I also wanted to use the two expression pedals on the FCB1010 for wah wah and volume. I read the Owners Manuals four times and DO NOT GET IT. I am unable to program the foot controller to function with the V AMP 2.

If anyone owns these products and has successfully got them to play nice with each other - please help me out.

Blessings,

Eddie

HI Eddie

I'm not familiar with the foot controllers for the V-Amp. You might get more specific info in the Guitar Forum

How do you have everything hooked up? Sometimes, this is the most boggling aspect of MIDI. When the problem seems insurmountable, its usually quite simple. I've solved MANY tedious problems just looking at the connections. The most common problem is someone has hooked MIDI out to MIDI out. This doesn't work. MIDI always hooks out (or thru) to in (and in to out). So that's your first concern.

If you have everything hooked up corrctly, you want to check your channels and all that. I would think that the foot controller comes preset in a "working" condition. IOW, they probably tried to make it so it functions with the V-Amp out of the box. If not, there has to be some kind of "factory default" you can revert to. Also, try the manufacturer's website for tech support and any other online "goodies" or "FAQs" they have about the product.

Tell us specifically what problems you're having and we'll try to help. Don't get frustrated...music is fun which is why musicians "play" and everyone else "works".
